Meadow and Prairie

As we leave the woodland edge, meadows or open borders in residential settings provide our optimum expression of colour. Large drifts incorporating nectar rich varieties of herbaceous perennials, complemented by native species evokes an atmosphere of long summer days. The recreation of a meadow habitat can be immensely rewarding. Planting in long drifts or clusters increases our scope for contrast whilst enhancing the foraging nature of our bird and insect life. Long flowering perennials alongside a long list of exciting native species form the basis of an aesthetically pleasing enhancement of our environment.
