Woodland Shade
The vast majority of our gardens are partially shaded by trees or surrounding buildings. Commonly referred to as “the dark corner where nothing grows” actually provides an opportunity to recreate a slice of our own native woodland. Drawing on inspiration from this habitat evokes ferns and mosses in the darkest corner, progressing to colourful primroses and bluebells as more light penetrates. Planting from our impressive selection of native trees such as oak, birch and cherries establishes this habitat, enhancing our biodiversity. In short, inspirations from natural woodland is defined by which plant species are growing at varying light levels and relating this knowledge to the required setting in your garden.
